The JATCO A-Frame
The JATCO A-Frame BTEX Systems are natural draft air cooled condensing systems used to capture and recycle BTEX and VOC vapors from the dehydrator still column.
Condensed liquids are collected in the JATCO Environmental Tank, and then automatically transferred to storage.
The non-condensable vapors can be destroyed in the following ways:
- Eliminator Package – the vapors are routed to the reboiler for destruction.
- Vent to Combustor
- Vent to Flare
- Vent to VRU
- Vent to Thermal Oxidizer
This closed-loop system is an ideal pollution control system, as it eliminates BTEX and VOC vapor emissions, aiding in pollution prevention, but will also pay for itself by generating revenue from condensate recovery.
The A-Frame BTEX Systems standard parts include a JATCO J-7000 30 gallon Environmental Tank that cycles up to 1400 GPH. The tank blowdown vapor is now reabsorbed into the BTEX System through a diffuser to help ensure emissions compliance. It also comes with a 32 oz. vapor relief valve with a 0-40 oz. gauge and a high liquid level shutdown assembly. Stainless steel is used for all condenser materials and plumbing with automatic control valves for hands free operation and manual valves for easy start up and shut down procedures.

Electric Options Available
We offer three individual skid configurations based upon which application they are being used for, which includes the DP-1 S (our shortest skid), the DP-1 M (medium height), and the DP-1 T (our tallest skid). The different height variations help to accommodate the various tank configurations. We also offer a tank and diaphragm pump skid assembly that can take the place of the standard setup on BTEX units. One additional benefit to the complete tank and pump skid setup is the ability to add an additional diaphragm pump to the 30-gallon tank skid (J-7000 DP-2). The addition of the second pump is to make service and troubleshooting more user friendly. All these configurations can be purchased with cold weather options that includes jacketed insulation and either 120V or 240V heat tracing.
Due to our modular design, additional A-Frame sections (spools) can be easily added to increase cooling capacity. The ability to recapture tank blowdown vapors can also easily be integrated into existing equipment.
